Ok, I’ll be honest, I thought turkey roasters were sandwiches. So imagine my confusion when a client asked me “Where/How should I store my turkey roaster?” Hmmm, I thought. I usually store mine in my belly, along with the chips and tea I throw down with it.
Who knew? A turkey roaster is actually a GIGANTIC pan to cook your Thanksgiving turkey in. Good to know. It’s quite a set up and can come in various shapes/sizes with all kinds of “stuff” that goes with it. (FYI…you can probably correctly assume that as a professional organizer, I’m not a fan of “stuff”).
So, where and how DOES one store the turkey roaster? My advice is somewhere inconvenient. What kind of solution is that you ask? Well, if you only use it once or twice a year, then it certainly doesn’t need to take up valuable storage space in your everyday life. Tuck it away in that awkward cabinet above the fridge that no one ever uses. Or store it in the tub labeled “Fall Decor”. You’ll get it out at the same time you’re decorating with your treasured Indian and Pilgrim figurines for the table.
Or, do what I do. Stick to the actual turkey roaster sandwiches. Think of all the storage space you’ll save!!!
Happy Thanksgiving….Gobble, Gobble.
