Wow…what a drastic turn of events, huh? I’m placing my bets that none of you Mamas & Daddies thought you’d EVER be homeschooling your kids! Yet, here you are so let’s make lemonade out of lemons (throw a splash of something else in if you need it!) and step up your organizing game for success!
Here are some tips for all of you putting on the teacher hat at home these days. I know you can do this, those little stinkers are counting on you!
- Routine is crucial. Just like you get them up in the morning and out the door to school, keep on doing the same thing!
- Designate a spot in your home that is conducive to learning and doesn’t interfere with the rest of daily life. If you have to set up the card table in the corner of your home office, do it.
- Use this time to teach your very own Home Ec class…who remembers those?! Consider this time a perfect opportunity for LIFE skills learning.
